Platos uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA). This sends a low and non-harmful electrical current through the body. Because fat, muscle, and water conduct electricity differently, the device estimates body composition. It also calculates visceral fat to highlight hidden metabolic risk, something weight alone cannot show.
